Trail Explorer provides a platform to explore and plan your future trips to the mountain, the seaside, the river, or any random destination on the map. Trail Explorer collects the following data:

• Our application provides advanced geographic map functionalities and requires user localization, subject to user approval. No personalized location data is stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
• We only store location data for registered users when they choose to save a hiking trail or waypoints they want to access in the future. Any other instances of POIs search or navigation data requests are done ephemerally and not in a personnaly identifiable way.
• All location data that is saved with Trail Explorer servers is accessible on the app. User can see, modify and delete these records at any time
• When you sign up to receive email marketing communications from us we request your name and email address. You can manage your preferences to ensure that you only receive marketing emails related to content that you are interested in. Once signed up you will be able to manage your own marketing preferences and are free to unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time
• We DO NOT buy any third party lists from other suppliers, or share your data with any third parties without your specific permission to do so

How do we collect your data?

We collect data and process data when you:

• Register online or place an order for any of our products or services
• Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our contact form or via email
• Use or view our website or mobile apps via your browser’s cookies
• Choose to record a hiking trail or save a waypoint
• Hiking trails recording requires to activate Background location tracking. When activated, location points are saved even when the app screen is turned off. Users can stop location tracking when they push the Stop button, close the app, or switch off the phone.
• All these records can be viewed, edited, or deleted within the app
